Spring field work has begun at the farms of the agro-technological holding «Bizon»

Spring field work is in full swing at the agricultural enterprises LLC «Zarya Dona» and LLC «Krasnokutskoye» in the Oktyabrskyi district of the Rostov region (part of the agro-technological holding «Bizon»). Currently, the farms are performing the first fertilizing of winter wheat shoots (6,000 hectares) and harrowing for sowing spring crops on an area of about 5,000 hectares.

Agricultural enterprises plan to begin spring sowing in the 20th of March, immediately after mechanical tillage and favorable weather conditions. They will start with sowing wheat, barley and peas. Next in line are flax, annual and perennial grasses, chickpeas, sorghum and sunflower.

All crops are cultivated using resource-saving technologies. Powerful tractors, wide-grip tillage and seeding complexes are used in field work. High precision of equipment movement is ensured by a satellite navigation system.

For several years now, farms have been introducing liquid mineral fertilizers, which are produced at their own solution units, simultaneously with sowing. Seeders have been equipped with trailed tanks for liquid mineral fertilizers specifically for this promising agricultural technique.

Sowing work is planned to be completed by the beginning of May, and crop care will be carried out until the harvest.
