Another career guidance lesson for rural schoolchildren

This time, the central office was visited by students of grades 9–10 of Krasyukovskaya Secondary Comprehensive School No. 62 (Oktyabrsky District, Rostov Region), where children of employees of our company’s agricultural enterprises study. Earlier, they had already been given an introductory tour of LLC «Zarya Dona» and LLC «Krasnokutskoe».

— We are trying to attract the attention of young people to engineering and technical specialties and help schoolchildren find their way in the world of professions, — noted Viktor Chigvintsev, head of the company’s agricultural division. — The village needs competent engineers, agronomists and machine operators. It is very important that school graduates study in-demand specialties and return to their native farm.

The company introduced the children to the work on the material and technical support of the agro-industrial complex and the working conditions of employees. The schoolchildren were told about the prospects for the development of agriculture, modern technologies and equipment, and were oriented towards the priority knowledge that a farmer should have.

During the excursion, the children studied the company’s activities «from the inside» and learned which professions are most in demand today. The career guidance lesson ended in the corporate museum of agricultural machinery, where the students were shown agricultural machinery with almost a century of history.
